Executive Committee of the Alumni Association of the University of Moratuwa would like to thank all those who supported in numerous ways to organise the first ever reunion of University of Moratuwa family - Back2Mora on the 2nd of July 2017.
We thank all the enthusiastic participants for their encouraging presence and hope that you had a good time.
Our very special and sincere thanks to the undergraduate student community of the University of Moratuwa for their very professional support to the event. We say a big thank you to the student leadership and students for been very mature in their judgement at a very emotional time for deciding that Back2Mora should happen despite a very sad incident.
Together we all can make UoM a better place and Alumni Association is committed to ensure that.
It been many years since we graduated from University of Moratuwa. UoM has changed a lot. We have lost touch with many of our batchmates, seniors and juniors.
To facilitate us renewing those links and to experience UoM today, Alumni Association is organizing an event - Back2mora, on the 02nd July 2017 from 2 pm -10 pm at University of Moratuwa. Let's play some cricket and other sports, sing a song and have fun. We will be arranging multiple educational and fun events for your children as well. Please keep the day free to get reunify at UoM.
The event had earlier been scheduled to be held on 28th May and was postponed due to disaster situation in the country occurred with adverse weather nearing this date.
The Annual General Meeting of University of Moratuwa Alumni Association was held on Wednesday 31st August 2016, evening at The Kingsbury Hotel followed by a Networking Evening. Distinguished invitees including the chancellor, present and former vice-chancellors, deans and senior professors, and the members of first batch of graduates, graced the occasion. Guest of Honour of the occasion was, Dr. Harsha de Silva, Honourable Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. He delivered a mind opening speech on our future expectations.
